Gallatin National Forest

The Gallatin National Forest extends over 1.8 million acres. It includes six mountain ranges (the Absaroka, Beartooth, Bridger, Crazy, Gallatin, and Madison mountains) and three headwaters (for the Boulder, Madison, and Gallatin Rivers).

Unsurprisingly, the U.S. Forest Service manages over 40% of Gallatin County. There is so much public land to explore here - hundreds of hikes are in and around the Bozeman area. What summer adventures await you here?
